Dobsonville Mall at 75 Elias Motsoaledi Road, Mmesi Park, has the biggest choice of food in Dobsonville. The mall’s official store directory lists KFC, Chicken Licken, McDonald’s, Steers, Debonairs, Fishaways, Pedro’s Chicken, OBC Chicken, King Pie, Delicious Fish & Chips and Zanwabo Cakes. Almost all of them are takeaway and quick-service outlets; the directory does not list a sit-down restaurant.
Most of these restaurants trade later than the mall’s shops. Brand store pages show KFC open until 22:00 and Pedros, Steers, Debonairs and Fishaways until 21:00 or 22:00, while the centre closes at 18:00 on weekdays. Where the food outlets are on the mall map
The official mall map (uploaded in 2023) shows three clusters of food, all on the side of the mall that faces the parking area:
- Boxer end: McDonald’s and Chicken Licken side by side, next to OBC. King Pie is close by, beside PEP Cell.
- Beside FNB and OK Furniture: KFC, at the corner closest to the parking.
- Central curved entrance: Pedros Chicken on one side, and a single unit labelled Steers Fishaways Debonairs on the other, next to Capitec.
The shared Steers, Fishaways and Debonairs unit may explain why the three Famous Brands outlets have overlapping shop numbers and phone numbers. Toilets are marked near Capitec, near Mr Price and near Pick n Pay.
Food at Dobson Point
Dobson Point Shopping Centre, on the corner of Dobson Drive and Mojahanah Road near Dobsonville Stadium, is the other centre with food. Its directory lists KFC (with a drive-thru, according to KFC), McDonald’s and a Fish & Chips takeaway. It is a smaller centre than Dobsonville Mall. Chicken is the biggest category at the mall, with four chicken outlets. Here is what each brand offers, based on the brands’ own store pages.
- KFC: dine-in, collection and delivery through the KFC app, plus catering. There is also a KFC Dobsonville brand guide covering both local branches.

Brands people look for that are not listed
When we checked on 13 September 2026, the mall directory and map did not include Hungry Lion, Roman’s Pizza or Nando’s. An older third-party listing places a Hungry Lion at Dobsonville Shopping Centre, but we could not confirm it with Hungry Lion or the mall. The mall directory does not list hours for its restaurants. These hours come from each brand’s official store page:

The mall trades 09:00 to 18:00 on weekdays, 09:00 to 17:00 on Saturdays and 09:00 to 15:00 on Sundays and public holidays. Several restaurants list longer hours than the centre. The mall does not say which entrances stay open after the shops close, so if you plan an early or evening visit, phone the restaurant first or order for delivery.
Delivery & Collection
- Brand apps: KFC, Pedros, Steers, Debonairs and Fishaways all take online orders for collection or delivery through their own apps or websites.
- Chicken Licken: both Dobsonville stores are on Chicken Licken’s list of stores that deliver.
- Collection: KFC calls its order-ahead service QSKIP; Fishaways lists Click & Collect and Call & Collect.
- Delivery apps: several mall outlets also appear on Mr D and Uber Eats. Prices and delivery areas on those apps are set in the app and can differ from the counter.
